In our project "Shots Fired," @postandcourier.bsky.social looked at 5 years worth of police shootings in South Carolina and found:

- 1 in 5 shootings involved cops firing into fleeing cars, a practice many departments have all but banned.

About 10 years ago, @postandcourier.bsky.social did a project in the immediate aftermath of the Walter Scott shooting that we called Shots Fired.

We analyzed nearly every police shooting in South Carolina during the previous 5 years and found 1 in 4 involved cops firing at or into moving vehicles.
