Ok this so-called Rite IV "contemporary" version of the Nicene Creed has be real frustrated. If you replace "Father" with "One," you have now turned this ground of trinitarian orthodoxy into, very plausibly, neoplatonism.
"Parent" was right there. The point is the begetting.

Im so glad my church doesn’t have an American Flag in the Sanctuary. We still have it off to the side for better or worse, but not behind the altar rails
