Day 1 - FF1 baby, the NES OG. My older cousin had loads of NES games that I'd play when visiting, and I became obsessed with the giant fold out map he had and bestiary on the back. Always wondering what it would be like to find and KILL CHAOS. Still the best OST on the NES too.

I had previously played Dragon Warrior (DQ 1 localized) and I preferred seeing the sprites fight in FF and was hooked.
I was young but loved the grind, didn’t synthesize the story at all.
