California is boosting paid family leave — helping Californians afford to take time off of work to care for an ill loved one, bond with a new child, or recover from an illness.

Eligible workers can now receive up to 90% of their regular wages while on leave.

California has dramatically slowed and reduced the growth of homelessness – making more progress than a majority of other states, the nation as a whole, and previous administrations.

We’re continuing to lead the charge in getting people off the streets & connected to care.

Garcia: The fact he is handing over Elon Musk the keys to the federal government to destroy our institutions with a fake department.. shows how irresponsible he is with the seriousness of the moment. He is not focused on helping people, but taking away things they depend on.

DOGE bros are profiting from Trump’s upper class tax cuts while complaining about the national deficit they are helping to make worse.

Trump added twice as much to the national debt as Biden (even in accounting for COVID relief).

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?

DOGE has suggested gutting govt agencies that protect us from financial fraud — other key agencies will surely be on the chopping block.

And when there’s no other place to find anything close to the $2 trillion that DOGE wants to cut, Social Security will be next.

Be warned.

Another Trump betrayal: He’s not going to make building easier.

Labor shortages due to deportations coupled with tariffs on building products will hurt development.

This will hurt housing inventory — likely leading to more rent burden, and risk for homelessness.

President-elect Trump’s planned tariffs would have a profoundly negative impact on working families in California and across the country.

Make no mistake: this would be a tax on consumers.

It’s a numbers game. There are only so many federal agents and financial resources.

If law enforcement resources are redirected to target people without legal status, it will reduce efforts to go after violent criminals and will make our communities less safe.

Hey colleges — stop sending my daughter interest emails and letters if your state is targeting her reproductive rights.

You are wasting your time. She will never attend your school or move to your state.
