Y'know the best part about sizzlin' snakes? You can never tell when they're hissing or cooking.

I have a world building/fantasy/creature design/potential ttrpg project that I like to post about.

I call it "Aether Wave"

It takes place in a grizzled world called Mundun (Mun-dune) that was forever changed by visitors from the stars. The peoples who live in it make do with what remains.

Bhertyllah's Bestiary: Warg

Large mammalian carnivores that walk on hoofed toes and hunt in packs. These beasts are notable for being sapient and having their own language and culture. Historically have good relations with Orcs & are often seen with them.

Doing another batch of these to offer some levity and distraction for those who need it.

Charles Knight's Phorusrhacos!

Terror bird reconstructions were few and far between until surprisingly recently, so this classic was an especially influential work to me even a century after it was drawn.

Thinking about how Rhamphorhynchid type pterosaurs deserved to get gigantic. It's a shame they never did to our knowledge. We could have had real dragons man.

If I was the richest person on earth I'd have more fun with it. I'd be forcing people to build pyramids in Ecuador and have an army of battle droids. I'd also have a bunch of clone bodies ready to transfer my consciousness to in the event of my death. I'd be such a good vizier

Images that shaped my childhood perception of prehistoric life: a thread.

William Stout's Sinosauropteryx!

This was one of my very first feathered dinosaur depictions and I loved the grungy, almost monstrous look. It's downright spooky, looking like a dinosaurian Halloween decoration.

Prototaxites is a taxon close to my heart, as it was the first organism we reconstructed in VFX for my first major TV project, Earth, back in 2022. So cool to learn it may have sat on an entirely unknown branch of life!

Bhertyllah's Bestiary: Wyrfalcon

Small (eagle-sized) dragons that fly through the world's skies, hunting aerial prey. They spend most of their lives on the wing and can travel vast distances.

Their appearance & fierce pursuit of prey make them popular with nobles for falconry

I'm sorry but if you're an antivaxxer you're just stupid. Like flath earther or evolution denier level of stupid. Intelligence that is sub-human, dumber than a monkey. You're maybe as smart as a tarsier but I doubt that. You shouldn't vote you're so dumb.

I have a terrible confession. I'm working my way through the 1987-89 episodes of Dr Who featuring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and - while there are some dud stories - I think it's fantastic. Like, it's my favourite Who material. Saw it when it was on in the 80s but haven't revisited since.
