A memo sent earlier this month by Pete Hegseth reverses a policy banning the US from using antipersonnel landmines around the globe. These weapons killed or injured over 6,000 people last year, according to a recent report, 90% of whom were civilians.
'Devastating': Amnesty Rips Hegseth Memo Reversing Limits on Landmines
“Antipersonnel landmines are inherently indiscriminate weapons that take a disproportionate toll on civilian lives, oftentimes long after conflicts end," said the group's director for Europe and Central Asia.

Ummm... 100% minus 22% leaves 78% who do admit that climate change is caused by human action... but still do nothing to upset the fossil fuel industry.
22% of Congress have denied the scientific consensus of human-caused climate change—leaving Americans to bear the brunt of the negative economic, health, and safety impacts caused by Big Oil.

One critic said the VA policy shift "endangers the health, lives, and futures of the people who have served our country—and it proves what we've long warned: Trump and his allies won't stop until they've imposed a national abortion ban."
'Dangerous and Cruel': Trump VA Quietly Bans Abortion Even for Rape and Health Risks
Defenders of reproductive rights denounced President Donald Trump's administration for quietly imposing an abortion ban at the US Department of Veterans Affairs based on a legal opinion from a deputy assistant attorney general.

And I'm calling on other candidates to follow suit.

Ah... always that Catch 22. The ones who are voting on banning stock owning and the ones that own the stocks. Just like the ones who vote on campaign finance reform are the ones that make the money.
This year, 202 representatives and 56 senators in Congress own stock. And they trade those stocks with insider information only they can access. It's time to ban stock trading for every member of Congress. san.com/cc/house-to-...
House to vote on stock trading ban for Congress but doubts remain on passage

AI tutors are often held up as an ideal, but prioritizing individualized teaching can detract from the benefits of learning in social environments.
