Hayley Williams' new album is really good, in my opinion. A great comment about coming off the road after touring over a year. Coming back to hometown Nashville, thinking back on her whole career, from teenager to 36 year old artist, with her own label and music rights.

Took a little break for self care.
The Field Arts and Events Hall in Port Angeles staged a screening of Birdman, accompanied by Antonio Sanchez performing his all drum score live. I had forgotten how great that movie is. Keaton, Norton, Emma Stone, Zack G. The drums are amazing.

As the world grapples with polarization and the need to re-embrace pluralism, right now in one of the most historically polarized regions of the world, Syrians are showing the way.

They have a unique opportunity to carry that thru to building a new country. If they do, they will inspire the world.
THIS IS HISTORIC:

"The city of Tartous has been liberated, we are here with our people from all sects, Christians, Alawites, Sunnis, Druze and Ismailis, the Syrian people are 1, to our people in Tartous, work with us to build our country, we will present a model to be proud of".

I keep reading that this is a place for kinder people, but gentle souls have always been among us. We just couldn’t hear them anymore. Perhaps our gathering here is proof that we missed those voices. What a wonderful thing to believe about ourselves. It can be a bold move to choose kindness.
