yup, waiting 2-5 years for a new album from your favourite metal band is still the norm... it's unfortunate new electronic music releases (and similar genres) have become something people just expect every friday now thanks to spotify 🫠
Artists feel pressured to make new art too quickly at the moment. Normalise artists fucking disappearing for months. Just walk off into the woods for a year and come back with a single sketch. It’s good for you

today there's another 10+ things to do just to keep up with current trends... and now this? tired of feeling like there's more & more work to do these days other than just make music, which in turn puts me off making music lmao, hard pass

with AI mixes and albums flooding streaming, i think we're gonna see musicians & DJs show their work more. like show the DAW, live played instruments etc. it was already a thing but more with the implied (or explicit) reason to show it's really human.
