Because it makes people uncomfortable. Humans are the horniest they'll ever be during the ages that people have the most discomfort around acknowledging they have any sexuality at all.

it makes me feel nuts that none of the discussion of age-gating ever grapples with the fact that teenagers are — famously! — horny. so the framing is always like "we're putting a railing along this cliffside" when the problem is more "we are trying to keep 1000 feral cats away from this wet food"

One weird thing about time passing and changing as a person as I get older is it often feels like I'm living in a life built by someone else - my younger self. I wake up every day and I've spawned into this battleship-of-Theseus of a life built by past versions of me over the years.

There are many reasons to help people. One that I think gets overlooked sometimes is: helping others often helps you. So if you feel like shit, don’t flagellate yourself in the dark. Leave your head a little. Extend some kindness. You can’t do everything, but you can do some things.

I really like drawing these illustrations for a living, so much. It feels like I randomly lucked into my dream job. The dark side of that mentally for me is that I'm worried it will all go away too soon, that interest will wander off, that something will happen. I don't want to lose it.

That feeling when it's the middle of the night and you're dehydrated because you've had a fever for a while and haven't gotten up, then you finally manage to get yourself a cool, refreshing glass of water and it drinking it is pure bliss.
