On this day last year we operated the "Great Southern Railway Centennial" railtour from Dublin to Killarney via Limerick, commemorating 100 years since the GSR merger & marking the 1st passenger operation of mkIV carriages over the Limerick line.

As many of you will have seen, our friends in The Irish Traction Group have started to move their stored diesels to the Downpatrick and County Down Railway museum. We congratulate our volunteer colleagues in the ITG for their perseverance and dedication to preserving these classic Irish locos.
