Jialin Yan (b. 1992) is a photographer and visual artist currently based in London. She is pursuing her MA in Photography at the Royal College of Art. Her practice explores themes of memory, loss, and emotional inheritance—particularly the quiet processes through which personal and collective memories are abandoned or forgotten. Working across photography, sculpture, and installation, Yan seeks to reimagine memory as something tactile and spatial, constructing immersive environments that invite reflection and emotional resonance.

Dear Elizabeth, Sorry this took so long! Though we caught up recently about other projects, I wanted to tell you how strange it feels to have New York so far away. It's been almost a year since I moved, yet somehow it feels like I've lived in San Francisco forever. Time continues to warp. I've been traveling frequently for work this past month.

Jialin Yan (b.1992) currently lives and works in London and Shanghai. She is studying at Royal College of Art majoring in Photography. Her photography mainly revolves around the lost memories and emotions of individuals and groups while she tries to explore the process of memory abandonment through image. In this project, Jialin Yan documents young romantics who have escaped urban life to find solace in Wanning, Hainan Province.

Tell us a little bit about yourself I’m a self taught documentary photographer. I ran a small and independent film lab in my hometown, but the lab is on a hiatus at the moment. But the photography can’t and won’t stop! 😬 Lately, what has been taking up your time? I’m just curating photos for my first solo photography show which will happen on January 2025.

Jonathan Kim Canoy is a self-taught documentary and street photographer based in Cebu City, Philippines. While specializing in fast-paced, moment-based photography, he also creates portrait work. Beyond his photography practice, he runs a small independent film lab in Cebu, which he has operated for three years. Driven by his desire to create art, Canoy transitioned from his corporate role as a Human Resource practitioner to become a full-time photographer and entrepreneur. 

Tell us a little bit about yourself I'm Gaby, a French photographer based in New York City. I just moved to New York a bit more than a year ago to study at the International Center of Photography, I graduated from the Creative Practices program last May and started working in August! My photographic work explores themes of subcultures, popular culture, gender and how feminine energy can be expressed in both public and private spaces.

Gabrielle Ravet (b. Paris, 1997) is a French photographer in New York City. She specializes in portraiture and editorial storytelling. Her work explores themes of subcultures and gender and how feminine energy can be expressed in public and private spaces. After documenting fangirls at concerts around New York City, Ravet organized an event that reunited a group of women aged between 20 and 30 years old, all fans of My Chemical Romance, and documented how relationships among them played out in a private curated space.

Alexia Haick (she/her) is a photographer and filmmaker from São Paulo, Brazil, currently based in New York. Her work explores family dynamics and girlhood, focusing on female sexual awakening. She co-founded O clube dos 35, a community for analog and alternative photography that has featured over 70 photographer interviews worldwide. She studied filmmaking at FAAP, AIC, and NYFA, and is completing her bachelor's in Photography and Video at the School of Visual Arts.

Tell us a little bit about yourself I'm AKIRA, a self-taught photographer from Cavite, Philippines. Stills from personal narratives, heavily inspired my artistic creation. My intimate approach to photography allows me to create images that transcends mere visual perception. After practicing the medium for two years, my love for the art form led me to pursue formal education in Photography.

DuoHan Longbow Zhang is a poet, writer and artist from Changchun who graduated in 2024 with an MFA from the China Academy of Art and now lives in Hangzhou. Equating his practice to narrative poem writing, DuoHan's body of work exists in the overlapping zones of myth, archive, body, nature, horror, erotic experience, and traumatic reality.
