12 January 1959 From the outskirts of the forest emerged a lone woman, drawn by the faint scent of death in the air. The woman was called Corvo, and she was not human. She was a guide of souls, a reaper of sorts, though not a grim one. Corvo was one of the creations of Daiya, the Mother Goddess of Winds and Time, who had woven her crows from the threads of twilight and starlight, their duty to uphold the balance of life and death.
