The incompetence is kinda impressive, because it's a second child killed in similar circumstances. First one was about a year ago: www.kyivpost.com/post/51557
Boy Killed by Falling Ramp on Captured Ukrainian Vehicle at Russian War Exhibit
Witnesses said the ramp may have been triggered by another child pulling a lever inside the vehicle. Others said the door may have opened on its own.

The tube in the photo is a quartz crystal resonator. It's not really some old technology, but rather really old method of packaging (i.e. glass tube). Modern crystal resonators/oscillators are usually in tiny metal boxes.

Is there a longer recording showing it's actually above Kyiv?

It's even funnier that I thought. The whole massive platform was supposed to roll back into that opening. And they somehow missed it failed to.

Unfortunately US have a say there because of TERCOM navigation (terrain contour matching using radar). US supplies the map data. For important stuff GPS is not reliable enough (i.e. can be jammed/spoofed).

Why not? It has a really good radar and can share target information with F-16s via datalink. It's also not a constant threat. In the end it may be cheaper to launch F-35 and use an expensive missile than keep Belarus and Ukrainian border covered 24/7 with short to medium range air defence.

Flamingo layout is much simpler. No ducting for the jet engine, simple straight wing. Meanwhile Tu-141 has delta wing. Don't think they're related.

It must be because of drones. GPS is heavily jammed, so Ukrainian drones often use cellular connection for visual final targeting.

🔥/1. The SBU has released unique footage from the special operation "Spiderweb"

The video captures FPV drone strikes by the SBU on four enemy airfields: Olenya, Ivanovo, Dyagilevo, and Belaya. Among the aircraft hit are the A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22 as well as the An-12.

Oh they do understand. When the goal is crippling or dismantling institution the unsuitability of LLM is a feature, not a bug. "AI identified inefficiencies and proposed adjustments" sounds better than "we just randomly fired half of the staff".

There is an irony in U.S. thinking that Europe doesn't need to be at the table because they don't contribute enough, but also thinking that the U.S. will continue to have influence without making commitments.
(Quote below is by Ben Wallace.)
“I think what President Trump is learning is that if you have no skin in the game you don’t get to decide the fate of Ukraine. I am sure they all enjoyed their four-hour talks (yesterday) but they probably shouldn’t have wasted their time.”

TSOP48 hand soldering experiment time 🫠. Made myself some practice PCBs via @aisler.net and got pile of the cheapest chips local shop had. Seems to have worked. Buzzed out all test points with multimeter - all good. Does not look perfect though 😅
