#WIP I Wasn't planning on working on a Sentinel, but had a paint day with a friend and wanted to try something new, so I experimented with some cold weather camo. Not sure how I like it. Yet, But I'll wait until it's done to pass judgement.

I finished the test scheme for my Erzdrie regiment. Here's a comparison of a fully shaded and highlighted Cadian next to one that just has base colors. What a difference, even at my average skill level!

Spent an hour just redoing the subtitles for a video because YouTube's auto-generated subtitles aren't great. I think I need to go through the rest of my (mercifully small) backlog and do the same over the next few weeks. Accessibility takes work.

The short I posted this morning outperformed my latest 2 videos in combined watch time after just 6 hours. It's 1/10th the length and took 1/20th the effort. I know shorts are a different beast from standard videos, but it amuses me. Maybe one day I'll understand YouTube, but it is not this day. 🫠

I don't know why, but something about doing skin details before blocking out the rest of the colors is really satisfying, like it's giving me a glimpse into the finished model. It's not perfect, but I can feel myself getting better.

Friends don't let friends assemble minis before cleaning mold lines.

I knew it would suck. "But it will be manageable," I thought. I wanted to get those models on the table for a tutorial game FAST. Now I am reaping what I sowed. It's so much worse post assembly.

I haven't had as much time to work on this as I'd like, but I think it's time to move on to painting (after some mold line cleaning). Each Kommando Boy now has something to Beast Snaggafy them, some more than others. The Nob even has this awesome new claw!

The Snaggafication of my Kommandos is well under way. Slasha Boy worked hard for that hide, of course he's going to wear it.

Pay no head to the mold lines. They'll be gone before priming.

I'm convinced War of the Worlds 2025 was a cooperative PSYOP between Meta, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc. to convince people that only they can be trusted with our data. That's as objectively wrong as the movie is objectively terrible.

The best way to figure out what works for you is to try it. Today I'm experimenting with basing, static grass vs tuft and turf. I think it's a real "Both? Both is good." situation.
