Remember when they said they were cutting funding to foreign aid because there were people in the US who were starving? That was a short-lived false promise!

Pritzker: "In any other country, if federal agents fired upon journalists & protesters when unprovoked what would we call it? If officials marched down streets harassing civilians & demanding their papers, what would we say? I don't think we'd have trouble calling it what it is: authoritarianism"

An idealist can be right her whole life and still be dismissed as naive. Be an idealist anyway.

Everyone's talking about what happened to Charlie Kirk and to Jimmy Kimmel, but meanwhile there are millions of Black, Hispanic, LGBTQ, & non-Christian Americans who don't have wealth or fame who are facing violence. Why does that kind of violence get a hall pass?

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

Is it Christian to publicly call for the murder of all homeless people?

That's what Brian Kilmeade did on Fox a week ago.

He still has his job.

You can't control the Democratic Party, but if you could, you'd make it bolder and stronger, right?

Yah, well, maybe we can control it. Maybe we ARE the Democratic party. Maybe it's weak because we gave up running it while the elite donor class didn't. Get back in the game, friends.

Honestly, I'm so tired of hearing that the Democratic Party doesn't support Mamdani. Democratic voters ARE the Dem Party, and he won the Democratic Primary! Endorsements from other Dems are being rolled out slowly because that's the most effective way to roll out endorsements. Let's enjoy it, yall!

The men who ran around with Epstein aren't lying when they say they didn't do anything egregious. They don't see this kind of behavior as egregious. It's normal to them. And that is all the evidence I need of their guilt.

I get why he fired the head of BLS (to avoid being blamed for high unemployment). I get why he's lying about crime in DC (to justify militarization of a city that threatens his authoritarianism). But why undermine public health efforts? How do deaths benefit him?

Things I can't get over:
Trump insisting student loan forgiveness was unjust and that federal workers are a bad use of public dollars, and then turning around and offering student loan forgiveness and $50K bonuses to work for ICE.
