Not sure if I'm making any sense here, since my own experience with sex and bodies is a different bizarre adventure entirely, I just know I've seen quite a few cases of artists finding appreciation in the unlikeliest of things which can seem like revulsion but isn't once you look further in.

I think in some situations there's also a bit of mental crosswiring happening, where what appears to be disgust at a first glance is genuine appreciation from the point of view of the artist, but it's difficult to put into words because it is only really seen in their eyes.
