My cat jumped from the 4th floor, shattered mouth roof and broke thigh bone, surgery is happening tomorrow hopefully if i can get the money for it, it's $750, I can't afford that on my own and I can't open coms for it either, if you can help I greatly appreciate it, if not, a rt is just the same

Bluesky was showing promise as an alt social network to be a replacement to the disaster info sharing that used to happen on twitter, but it seems like that was more due to the community of journalists, researchers, and citizens who fled here than anything to do with atproto/bluesky itself.

I’ve been holding onto this hope that a person I love most in this world would reach out while I’m going through one of the hardest pet losses of my life.
