I've been working on my website and just... lurking the web revival community and there's one thing I've noticed.
The profit incentive kind of destroyed the internet where it kind of forces in the long term to turn all content into lowest common denominator garbage.

Absolutely stupid and irrational thing, but I genuinely cannot get into either checkers or go. I can't explain it, but I don't get any joy if I'm doing well and I feel horrible for the rest of the day if I lose.

Maybe I'm being conspiratorial, but we wouldn't even need chatbots if most search engines didn't heavily degrade in the past few years. Simple questions such as "what is the term for X system in Y field" now yield weird or unnecessary results.

I've been a bit pessimistic in the past... a few years with how humanity has been going, but I'm still happy that the internet exists in some form.
People were violent, bigoted and chauvinistic since the dawn of time, but the internet allows you to see that there are exceptions to that.

I'm kind of stuck self publishing creative stuff, comics, zines, etc. While I love the idea of learning the ins and outs of the process (like misprinting the cover of a game), I genuinely appreciate good editorial feedback

It's just a pal of mine turned Dark Heresy rules into a wiki format for easier navigation, I'd love to do something like that for my own games.

Sometimes I wish I was obscenely wealthy so I could afford the travel costs and the connections to just travel the world and meet cool art friends I met during my years.
Then again, after a certain point I noticed people with too much money tend to go a bit insane, so, yeah.
