I'm having a revelation.. I think treating evil game design, player-hostile design, quality of death, etc. as goals, while aligned with my values on a surface level, is kind of like when someone intentionally sets out to make a "bad" movie. It will not be as beautiful as the sincere "bad" movies.

I understand the enthusiasm many have for evil game design but it's wrong to be evil. If you truly believe what you are doing is evil, that means you are not following your heart. So while others may view your acts as evil, you must only do what you feel is right or your work will be absent of soul.

god the dragon quest fc character sprites are so much better than the dragon warrior ones, i don't even need more hater ammo than this.... why do people like this version more, just because you don't have to select your talking direction?? that's called soul

i want to publish my dq1/dq2 onscreen text yanker.... the emulator script part would be easy to share but the problem is that it only dumps stuff to a .txt file. the other half is "display the text in a web browser with auto-reloading" and i don't know how to package that in a reasonable way
