40 flowering plant species found around Rock, Cornwall today which included : Sweet Alison, Sea Mayweed, Guernsey Fleabane and Sweet Violet.

There’s a yellow warning for ice and snow showers for tomorrow’s NYPH at Seaton. The worst of the weather looks like Bodmin to Liskeard. I’ll go ahead with the walk tomorrow, but if the weather is worse than anticipated don’t take undue risks to attend. Dave

I found a new species (for me) today at Mevagissey Harbour when out for the #newyearplanthunt Unfortunately it wasn't in flower. 3 plants high up on a concrete harbour wall.

Here's what happens when you try and take a photo using f5.4 in wintery low light on a dismal day, hand held. It would have been fine if I'd sacrificed depth of field and set the aperture at F2.8.

Near dusk, I found Western and Common Gorse growing close together, so here's a silhouette shot of both for comparison. Western Gorse also only flowers in late Summer. not all year round like Common Gorse. Near Stithians Cornwall today.
