Apparently, it's an embarrassing time to be an American. That's only true if one's national identity is tied to their self-perception. That's unhealthy at best, destructive at worst. My country is not a reflection of my character, and neither is yours.

MLMs are not good for women. Quite the opposite. The FTC reports over 99% of reps are making a net loss. Meanwhile, most MLM CEOs are men. It's just another form of exploitation disguised as empowerment.

I'm glad we're talking about parents exploiting their children on social media, but what about the companies that enable this wretched behavior? You can legally purchase crop tops and two-piece swimsuits in toddler sizes. Why?

Funny story. I attended a Bible study group out of boredom and curiosity for about six months before the woman who lead it converted to Islam. Maybe that says more about her, but I took it as evidence of biblical fallibility. If it was perfect as she claimed, why would she trade it in?

Early gen Z is probably the last generation to hear firsthand accounts from Holocaust survivors in person. I had the honor of meeting one in college. I'm not big on handshakes, but I shook her hand out of respect and the knowledge that I'd never have another chance to do so.

Today a friend was late to a call because his antivax aunt wouldn't give his phone back. I called her a dumbass. He defended her. Apparently she has "weird takes."

I've been so busy I completely missed the Starfleet Academy trailers. As I expected, the "fans" are drowning the poor sapling in a flood of piss in this mass hazing ritual. Lots of nasty comments about Zoomers. Cosmos forbid a show about human potential appeal to a young audience full of potential.
