This is a nice archive find by Matt Eaton. It deals with the challenges of morale/motivation at a time of the war when things were looking very bleak. In April 1942, the Japanese forces were roaming over Asia and the Pacific at will. In North Africa, the first British army-level offensive had just ended in a whimper, with much of the gains lost to Rommel’s brilliant counter stroke in January 1942.

Visited The Robin Chapel today, an exquisite #SWW memorial to Lt. Robin Tudsbery (1919-45). It is situated within a disabled veterans' housing scheme in Craigmillar, set up by his grieving parents.
