i was looking through the #swordlogiczine again this past week, and i don’t think i ever sat back and gave myself credit for how hard i worked on these two stanzas for a new poem. a lot of research and reading and listening went into this Xivu pov. didn’t know i had it in me (:
HEEDED A DEAD WORM. all us puppets who stitched our own strings swallowed that maggot. but, O, how I garnished mine in strength from false shapes: in truth who is judgment in truth who is lie in truth to whom i was praying past a dead tongue, past a first and final death, a brother's blood that drives me mad. I LISTENED TO SO MANY FAMILIARS I WAS STRANGER TO MYSELF. you understand that, don't you? O, father mine? didn't you teach me how to devour myself to clear the plate for creation? passive and violent as a parasite? oblique as a meter which carries a ship into the greedy waves of the sea? what an inheritance! what an extinction! what a sacrement to the sin of selflessness! this is my truth, the imperative inspiration: I was weapon I was syzygy I was pawn
