steam should have a way to filter out games that use generative ai in any form, coding or art. i don't want anything to do with it, even by accident. failure to disclose ai usage should also make any game refundable indefinitely if it comes to light after the fact.

I just learned that John Carmack misgendered and deadnamed Rebecca Heineman in his "tribute" over on Twitter. He probably thinks it's okay when talking pre-transition days, but FYI, most trans people hate that. Worse, he never calls her "she," switching to "they" for recent memories. Fuck that guy.

The ICAO is who you need to lobby if you want to remove gender from all passports altogether, which is why American trans activists have largely focused on the ability to update/change your gender marker
In somewhat good news, today the state department website has changed the answer to this question to defer to ICAO policy. Sources still tell me that there is some appetite for invalidation/reversion of passports issued under the injunction, but this message will be welcome to many trans people.
