Claude Sonnet 4.5 behaved identically to 4.0 on my initial interactions, giving same incorrect answers to tricky UIKit/SwiftUI hit test questions and following the same flawed test case behavior, though with a really nice generated UI as always. Too early for conclusions, though. Let's see.

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers.
The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.

The new reality of data scraping. But I wonder: it costs real money on this scale. The data doesn't change every hour.
...btw, as of a few days ago (at least temporarily), browsing PRs/code of blender requires a login. Why? Because otherwise the servers get DDoS'ed by the AI training scraping bots; looks like some of them are on the loose. Again.

Simplifying (digital) life. I have reduced the number of messengers I have an account with. The first thing I did was delete my WhatsApp account. Bonus: I don't have to read through what exactly they want to use for AI training. Like I said, simplification 😀

Just read that Murderbot is coming to Apple TV. So, so cool. The book series (The Muderbot Diaries) by Martha Wells is definitely absolutely brilliant. I don't have time just right now, otherwise I would watch this IMMEDIATELY.

Why I often don't polish and finish many projects and why that's perfectly fine and wasn't the goal at all.
I've learned that finishing the last 20% is often not worth the 80% extra effort.
