There'll be birdwatching, botany observation, and a fun day hike in the wonderful Coyote Hills Park, which is right on the eastern edge of San Francisco Bay. The group will walk on the boardwalk in the marsh and see wildlife and, hopefully, the early winter birds.

Widespread rainfall, likely on order of at least a couple of inches, is likely later next week in Norcal; in SoCal, rain of some magnitude appears increasingly likely but there is wider plausible range (from light-moderate to rather heavy). But confidence is high in *some* rain.

Contra Costa County renters need to earn $43.63/hour to afford average rent.

We need to build a LOT more housing to bring rents down, and El Cerrito is doing that.

We're also investing in homeless outreach, and we just increased our investment in preventing homelessness with financial assistance.
