On the third Saturday of every month throughout 2026, join Shoreline Cleanups that start at the Shorebird Park Nature Center. Individuals, families, or groups can volunteer to be part of monthly cleanups at Berkeley’s waterfront and Aquatic Park.Come out on the third Saturday of each month throughout 2026. Volunteers start with a brief presentation about the effects of plastics in the ocean and guidance on how to remove trash safely. We’ll provide all the supplies you’ll need.

Compost is available for pickup year-round at the Berkeley Marina. Plastic litter doesn't just disappear. It breaks into smaller pieces that enter waterways and harm birds/marine life. Join our cleanup at the Berkeley Waterfront that focuses on removing trash before it reaches the Estuary.
