Gutted by more layoffs in this industry. I once barely scraped by thanks to one of these funds after being laid off by Vox. I've donated to a few of these now and I sure wish it wasn't this way. Give if you can. gofund.me/158560c8

Just before my brilliant sister Gail Shepherd died, completely unexpectedly, she read one of my stories and told me I needed to write a book of linked stories. Tonight, two years later, I finished and sent it to an agent. She has been beside me, guiding me through. Bittersweet.
