Food, water, alternative power, sanitation, all problematic but can be planned for. Life is easier after SHTF when you have a team.
Figure out who you need based on your skill set, make sure they can handle and survive as a team before an event that takes down the grid happens.
Most people assume they could bug in for weeks or months, but when you look closely at water, power, and sanitation, the timeline often shrinks fast 👇

It's going to get worse.

No amount of compliance is going to help and there will be no redress of grievance allowed.

Get you and your tribe ready to go. Water, food, alternative power, whatever it takes, do not count on help besides who is next to you.

The first thing in a crisis that is relevant is information and intelligence. This administration here in the US wants stricter control of that information, making more folks reliant on them and obedient.

Decade ago, I reminded folks not to do snow angels in the dog park.

Pretty much valid today in the coming snow storm.

You just know it's there. 💩 😜

Looking back in history, the use of an internal security force has never been about making a country more stable and safe, but to ensure fear and obedience.

Resistance and preparing for a more insidious time happens at home first. Start your long term pantry today.
@petebuttigieg.bsky.social: "We have an ICE agent who should have been trained not to be in front of a vehicle and never to shoot into a moving vehicle, and yet this happened on [Kristi Noem's] watch. The whole POINT of Homeland Security is to make this country more stable and safe."

Yuletide Blessings to all. Welcome the Winter Solstice and the rebirth of the Sun.

Lasting until the New Year each Yule Day often has specific themes like gratitude, hospitality, or nature connection, influencing modern Christmas traditions like the Yule Log and decorated trees.

It was only a couple of moments before Mego came to investigate the crime.

Fancy dinner date night tonight at home. Next up wine pairing with corn beef.

Thinking of a red, but a rose variety may do.

Thinking we grow part of the this at the Cassiopeia Gardens. Also thinking that I should probably share it with @kebens.bsky.social 🤩
Just got a facebook memory for a Victoria sponge I made last year!

It's a Winter Cassiopeia Gardens Wonderland!

A bit over 3 inches. Not Michigan levels here in Maryland, but still appreciated for the garden and views.

Little out of sync recently, but slowly getting back on track here.

Cran-OJ:
8 lbs of oranges
8 lbs of cranberries
2 1/3 cups of sugar
7 caps of vanilla

Add 3/4 cup of cranberries, third cup of sugar and 1 cap of vanilla to sterilized quart jars.

Water bath quarts for 25 minutes.

Had me at graveyard waxcaps. Witches Hat though seals the deal!
Talking about the UK’s bounty of graveyard waxcaps, here are a group of Hygrocybe conica, Blackening Waxcaps or commonly known as Witches Hat mushroom, all lined up like the Three Amigos. #fungi

Thank you for sharing your deep love with good hearted people with us Tessie girl. We're going to miss you.

Today we grieve those we have lost and comfort those that remain behind. Until Vahalla and that Rainbow Bridge. Enjoy your special place near the woods and garden you loved to walk so much.
