@linuxfoundation.org Had serious problems trying to install Linux Mint Cinnamon on a Surface Laptop. Just wouldn't boot from an USB. I disabled the secure boot feature. At one time I could almost get it to boot to Windows 11 recovery drive but the keyboard locked up. The laptop is not that old

People shouldn't be forced or enticed to vote if it causes too many headaches and the MRIs don't show a probable cause. I don't think voting records should be public..

I became interested in technology because I couldn't run 5 miles anymore, I miss those days, they were good times. The loss of ability limits the available jobs. Why did you become interested in technology?

My new recipe creation on a budget: take one serving size Ramen noodles, chicken flavor. Use evaporated milk for 1/2 of the liquids (the other 1/2 is water). Two shakes of black pepper, add the seasoning packet, cook as directed. Optional, about a spoonful of parm cheese.

Biggest coverup governments are spreading it the critical need for energy to build strong economies. We are light-years away from sufficient sources. Minerals breakdown over time

Post has more to do with the equation for Thrust, which is related to acceleration. Didn't spend time to post the actual equation, so I just copied-paste an Internet image

Having trouble copying and pasting this equation, so I pasted the link below. No reference to Thrust in my very old physics book. Thought it could be useful.

Tired of the attitude that people follow IT. It's the other way around, you tell technology what to do. Supposes has done it again with a 8 Ghz simple connection. If you like this post, I'll share a tip to speed up that dead connection.

Many IT pros out of work. Is anyone aware of the IEEE Code of Ethics and membership? Wondering if it could operate like the BBB. Does anyone have any work to cover the $145 membership fee?

The AI field keeps getting wider and wider, can't master it all. One day someone will have a feed about C++, until then, fell in-love with this programming or tutorial or something.

There was a time I messed up a lot of hard drives, dual booting, multiple OS, multiple browsers. It's still enjoyable to me. Has anyone tried or using the Tor browser?

Although 5G connections are available, I would call the 2.4G the " working speed".

Lots of coal available in the world but also resistance from climate change activists. Carbon sequestration comes in many forms, including man-made technology filters and machinary. I think we should not downplay it, we need to manipulate all forms of energy. #energy

Just met an amazing brave women whose name I will not reveal. She is very unplugged, no tv, no social media profile, getting ready to embark on a journey. Say a prayer.

Findings: Renewable energy can have a situation where the system needs a control of flow. That is where EES (energy storage system) comes in. Batteries use a liquid electrolyte. Capacitors have an electrical field. (More)

Uping my energy knowledge because I get grumpy living without electricity. Much talk about renewables, gotta love what is free, frugal as I am. Energy opens doors, allows what needs to be done, happen. It's the bottleneck of much innovations. (More)

Yuk, economics was not my best subject, at all. All this news about tariffs? What is more important, a car or jobs? We could use better warranties and old usable car parts close by. We've had issues with auto distributors not able to get parts on models older than ten years. 1/3

Without going so much into the characteristics of batteries verses supercapicitators, can someone explain the physical differences between the two? I'm stuck.
