So puberty and potty training books will continue to remain on the 4th floor in the adult restricted area until the state sues our city and wins. Our city council keeps losing in court and taxpayers are left with the bill. 😩
The Huntington Beach City Council unanimously voted in closed session tonight to appeal an OC Superior Court order to remove the “children’s restricted” section at the Central Library and re-establish teen section, City Atty. Mike Vigliotta reports.

Even after HB voters delivered an electoral mandate against censorship, HB continues to make many books inaccessible to patrons. One is an adult book, Call Me By Your Name, which was made into an Academy Award-winning movie. This violates California's new Freedom to Read law.
