I’m back to Pocket Casts. I just don’t get Overcast, it seems to have no logic with what it’s doing. There seems to be no consistency in what happens when I tap a podcast in different places of the app. If I want to add an episode to the Queue playlist it takes multiple taps or a long press -

ChatGPT 5.1 Cynical personality is my kind of AI. I gave it an article as a text paste and asked for a summary. Here is the opening:

> Alright, Dave, here’s the short, sharp, human-brain-friendly summary of that novel you just dumped on me. Brace yourself; I’m doing this out of duty, not joy.

I’ve been using Overcast for the last few days. It’s much simpler than Pocket Casts and I actually don’t mind how I need to use it differently. Why the change? Pocket Casts seems old in design. It’s been a long time since a new theme was added and I am assuming a Liquid Glass overhaul is off

Remainders seems like a good replacement to Up Ahead. It imports from calendars and has a watch app on the way.

I like the Tahoe icons and anyone that has enough time to write an exhaustive article complaining about them should get out more. I have not seen one icon that even deserves an old man yelling at clouds moment but here we are with multiple.

A nice puff piece from the ABC. They even spelt one of the referenced child psychologists name wrong, I know as I tried to do some research of my own. From what I can see neither has published anything scientific around social media’s effects on specifically under 16’s. Which of course matches w

What I like most about this review of the Xiaomi 17 Pro is that it is super honest. Of all the “innovation”, the phone is super buggy and unreliable. I use the term “innovation” as that seems to be what everyone wants. The important thing about innovation is deciding when it’s actually wor

Tonight I completed The Messenger. It is a great game full of humour and just barely passable challenges. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Netflix Household crap is crap. Talk about disrupting an industry only to become an overpriced annoyance with added user hostility. They must be proud. I think that if I am paying for 4 streams, it should not matter where those streams come from. I feel like this kinda stuff is far worse than what A

I just tried Apple News again (removed as a part of my detox) and it’s possibly the worse Apple app I’ve used. As a paid subscriber I would have thought there would be no ads and a way to completely customise what I am seeing. Also blocking a channel still shows the article but just lets you kno

I’m getting more tempted to use Outlook for work but I have some issues (mostly Outlook is junk) but I am missing some aspects that my colleagues use.
