I’m rereading The Two Towers but I accidentally called it “The Twin Towers” ONCE and now Andy won’t call it anything else

My clothing low-buy year has been made pretty easy so far by the fact that every time I see a cool piece of clothing, I open the link and it’s like:
- not available in your size
- not available in your country
- 100% polyester
- company known for pollution
Makes it very easy to close the tab!

I loathe dictation, I feel like a dickhead sitting here in my office talking to myself and to the machine about my little arthritic toddlers

The Playstation’s integration with music streaming only works with 2 platforms so my husband has to use my Apple music for it, which means that he’s now playing the Monster Hunter beta while listening to Lana Del Rey. It’s very sad girl vibes, I love it.

I miss when my FYP was all about that massive baby penguin instead of like, the rise of fascism.

One of my friends at work brought me packets of Timmies hot choc mix and a Coffee Crisp and let me tell you I almost cried. Literally the sweetest person I’ve ever met plus I’m already so fragile about exams/missing home that it was all I could do not to burst into tears.

Rocked up to night shift only to realize that the only pen I have in my possession tonight is a pink glitter gel pen 💖

I’ve reached the stage of studying called “I don’t want to.”

A bunch of American companies no longer ship internationally all of a sudden. I’m sure this loss of international business is going to be soooo good for the American economy. (I just want a pair of Frye Sabrina 6g in Cognac…)

Investing is really hard when you’re trying to avoid evil companies because that’s like… all of them.

Uber price gouging during the train strike can sincerely fuck off 💖

The Sydney Trains nonsense means that instead of taking 1 hr 15 to get to work (which already sucked) it’s taking me over 3 hours.

I put a fluffy jumper in my desk as a cat bed so Grim would stop laying across my keyboard and knocking my tea off the desk. This has been ineffective to say the least.

patient: …you mean lungs?

Coming up to registrar specialty exams everyone is giving advice and much of it is “don’t study too much the night before!” Like. Babe you fully misunderstand who I am as a person. I was NOT going to do that either way, do not fret.

I live overseas and my dad likes to keep me updated on Canada Things which means he texts me the score any time the Leafs have a game, and has not mentioned that Trudeau resigned at all.

I e-mail myself a document from my phone. The computer beeps. Oh! A new email! I wonder what that could be?

All the cutesyfied Year of the Snake merch is serving Tsuchinoko realness and I love them. So many chubby snakes.

there’s an Australian honey brand that sells their honey in class jars with 1/4 cup measurements on the side so you can keep the jar as a measuring cup after you’ve used the honey and I love that! More things should do this!

Accidentally brought a book that makes me look far more intellectual than I actually am to work with me and people keep asking what i’m reading (it’s about climate change). I need to figure out how to answer so people stop getting the wrong idea about the type of reader I am.

Highlight of Christmas Day has been Grim expending so much energy on Crimes (attempting to get into the cheeseboard and the roast chicken despite being thwarted at every turn) that he’s now tuckered himself out and is sleeping so soundly and peacefully like an angelic little kitten.

Went to visit my old university! They build a whole nice building for med students since my year graduated (we had zero dedicated study spaces and the post grad library was tiny) (not salty)
