it’s pretty …… telling re: where voters heads are at that folks in power both Dem and Republican laid the Islamophobia on sooo unbelievably thick and New York still elected Zohran Mamdani .

CBP got their raid sweeps down to less than 7 minutes here in LA. By the time reporters receive tips, the raids are done and the feds are gone and with them, people. Trying to document and find patterns for these raids as a reporter has been extremely frustrating and demoralizing. It really sucks
Thinking a lot this morning about how the dispersed nature of these kidnappings over such a broad area makes it so easy for them to avoid making bigger waves. The surface can appear totally calm while they're grabbing neighbors, and most people have no idea until/unless something flashy happens
