Wildly swerving between cozy pictures of sewing projects and cats, and what some people call 'politics'.

I made a boycott American products list for the UK, because I was so frustrated with the incorrect ones circling. And found the character limit for Alt Text whilst I was at it. I love my US folk but I can't be spending my money with your companies at the moment.

This right here is the beginnings of the result of what DOGE was really up to. Not *really* slashing stuff, but getting access to as many government citizen databases and joining them to be able to target people quickly and comprehensively across all their exposure to the federal government.
A Minnesota woman observing ICE agents in her car was cornered on one-way streets. An agent approached, called her by name—citing facial recognition. Days later, her Global Entry and TSA privileges were revoked, with no explanation.

Went to sleep with a bad headache, woke up with a worse one (or a migraine). Have reached the stage where I have taken all the different drugs and am reduced to trying whatever weird tricks I can find on the internet, so I'd anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears!

NEW: Our investigation for @thenerve_news reveals not only that Peter Thiel’s Palantir is completely enmeshed in our critical national infrastructure.

It’s also the ‘cloud support’ for our nuclear weapons system 🤯

This guy can absolutely get in the bin.
Matthew Goodwin choosing this moment to stand in Gorton & Denton, tells you exactly what he’s about.

He can smell the media attention, like a bloodhound.

As a therapist, when we say 'sit with your feelings', we don't mean the fear and horror and anxiety of the current political situation. Don't sit with those feelings. Act on them.

Maintaining the integrity of therapy - what it is & how we do it, is arguably even more essential in difficult & uncertain times. The ethos & ethics of psychotherapy + counselling needs to be preserved for us to keep existing as a profession, & for our work to have meaning.

in times of turmoil it is very easy to feel like theres nothing you can do to help, especially if you are far away, but i promise buckaroo EVERYTHING helps. there is direct action like donating money or protesting, and there is cultural action like creating art and cultivating atmosphere of change

The current socio-economic-political situation is...poor. Look too hard and we all feel anxious and frozen, I think. But action is the antimatter of anxiety. Even small things can help us stay rooted in our own morals and values, and not be slowly erroded by the horrors.

Even Andy Burnham as leader of the Labour party is probably not enough to bring me back to the fold anymore. Maybe a couple of years ago. One year even. But it's too late now.

The Far Right activist who calls himself Tommy Robinson is funded by right wing US pro-Israel groups, Middle East Eye reports.

These include the Shillman Foundation, the think tank of the late David Horowitz and Daniel Pipes’ Middle East Forum.

Need to email my MP to ask whether he's still a member of Labour Friends of Israel, but I've already emailed him this week via EFF to ask him to support digital sovereignty (to give us greater safety from the US), and two emails in one week seems a bit much, right?

It can be done. It's not just about stopping Reform gaining new seats, we can actually take away seats they already won.
Horsley (Derbyshire) Council By-Election Result:

🌍 GRN: 43.6% (+16.7)
➡️ RFM: 35.5% (+0.6)
🌳 CON: 13.9% (-9.0)
🌹 LAB: 3.8% (-6.5)
☑️ ADV: 1.9% (New)

Rescued a sad, abandoned mini fir tree from an office bin today. I think I'm going to plant it up into my scrappy back yard and then I'll have my very own Christmas tree!

Amazon's tax avoidance has probably cost the UK a billion pounds in just the last two years. Imagine if we had that money to spend on our schools, hospitals and communities?
