Hoping for a world of acceptance and support for individuals with autism. Awareness is only the beginning. Autism is not;
- a diseases to be cured
- an anomaly to be fixed
- linear
- males only
- children only
- caused by refrigerator mums or vaccines
- a trend.

Meet the team of EU-SABV!
This is a group of researchers with a special interest of including sex as a biological variable into their work.
For the next 4 years, this team will work to enhance current SABV policy in preclinical research!

Until now, being in a COST Action felt like something almost unreal. With the leadership training, I finally saw its reality and know what I need to do. On October 22, I’ll be back in Brussels for the kick off meeting of our action. Can’t wait to have the whole team together 🩶 #COST

I was supposed to rest after my dissertation. So I checked my calendar, only to realise that August is the only time to submit 4 project proposals and 1 report before I leave for a conference, concert and workshop in early Sept and a month long research visit in late Sept 🥲 #autism #busypostdoc

Take home messages from #IBNS2025;
Not all rats enjoy playing as much and there are ‘popular’ ones. This makes some others feel left out and exhibit anxiety like behaviour.
Not all controls are controls and individual differences should be carefully evaluated.
Play behaviour is tricky 🤓🩷

Third meeting that is planned to be in Cape Town..
IBRO-2027 being in Cape Town was accelerating and made me think ohh its a once in a life time thingy.
Then came the INSAR-2027 meeting in Cape Town
Now here goes IBNS-2026 🙈
Hope I can get the same funding that got me to Tromso for Cape Town 🫶🏻
