Wellington Water annual reports - leggett is not screaming about inadequate resources or demanding more, more, more...
Whateva - have you actually read them?

The 2024 is a tad unpositive which certainly is NOT screaming "Warning, Will Robinson!!" about anything...

@andrewlittlenz.bsky.social @julieannegenter.greens.org.nz Could someone advise on the safety of eating home-grown fruit and vegetables? Last winter salt spray damaged plants over 3km inland, so I’m worried about what may be depositing on home gardens. Also worried about the air we're breathing

perfect day in Wellington for a swim. No wind & cloudy but warm. (Mahanga Bay had a reading of 500 for Enterococci on Thursday , so I’ll wait till that gets to safer levels. I do not trust Wellington Water, their job is convince people everything is fine.

What are local Facebook groups in Wellington going to do when they can’t blame the council for all the 3 waters problems? Will they start blaming pedestrians as well as cyclists for all the problems in the city?

Not really the ideal day for Wellington City council to send me an email about the new wheelchair access at freyberg beach.

Business confidence is always highest when unemployment is lowest. Because companies can offer the bare minimum to new staff and take away benefits from existing staff. So profits increase

Some NZ journalists are still writing about increasing storms but not providing any context: ‘as our climate changes’
I’d say it’s just an omission were it not for a comment by a radio panelist last week that she’d never heard a reported connection between more extreme storm events & climate change

I wonder how many empty houses there are in Wellington right now. Where landlords are so greedy (and the tax break clearly so good) they'd rather do nothing than rent for less or sell.
