There's a tree in Stanley Park (Blackpool) just next to the footpath. Every year, at Christmas, someone decorates it with tinsel and baubles. It's an act that is full of joy. I'd love to know why that tree is so special. I took a cutting from it and made some casts at the weekend.

He's right. Reading to children is a properly cosmic, beautiful thing to do. I'd love to know what stories @mrjamesob.bsky.social read to his children. Lucky blighters.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social It takes a village to raise a child. We need to acknowledge that the village has let children down in recent years. We've let the free market pulverize childhoods with vapes, energy drinks, social media etc... Maybe we owe it to children to bring them back to the village?
