@mrjamesob.bsky.social can you take the speech, but add in some of your legendary commentary? As if she was a helicopter landing on the King's front garden?

There's a tree in Stanley Park (Blackpool) just next to the footpath. Every year, at Christmas, someone decorates it with tinsel and baubles. It's an act that is full of joy. I'd love to know why that tree is so special. I took a cutting from it and made some casts at the weekend.

Been working on the sculptures made in my last ceramics workshop @theoldelectric.bsky.social They're shaping up beautifully. Looking forward to giving them back to the very talented people who made them.

There once was a woke Marxist pope
Who inspired the people with hope.
The rich gave a nod
For special access to God,
But the answer we all want is 'nope.'

@mrjamesob.bsky.social A discussion entitled 'why is teaching so awful?' interspersed with adverts to join the profession😂. It is simultaneously the best and worst job there is.

I really love making weird little sculptures when I'm weighing out clay. They'll be small plates by lunchtime.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social One of the many, many brilliant things about #adolescence was the way it portrayed toxic masculinity as everyone's problem. We saw episodes that focussed on the police, on school, on mental health services and on family life. It will take everyone in society to solve it.

He's right. Reading to children is a properly cosmic, beautiful thing to do. I'd love to know what stories @mrjamesob.bsky.social read to his children. Lucky blighters.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social It takes a village to raise a child. We need to acknowledge that the village has let children down in recent years. We've let the free market pulverize childhoods with vapes, energy drinks, social media etc... Maybe we owe it to children to bring them back to the village?
