I have spent the last TOO LONG preparing for my Ph.D. interview today.
No idea how I did, if I shot myself in the foot by revealing the timeline for my Cherokee Nation card, but I was honest and did my best.

So it’s been more than a month since I was last here.
Updates: I am pleased to report that I submitted my Ph.D. applications by Dec. 1. I’ve moved already onto the second round of the application process with UTexas Austin!
I have only a few more days in this semester, too.

UPDATE | At 7:15, Brown University issued the all-clear, lifting the lockdown. The FBI and Providence Police arrested a suspect at 3:45 this morning.
One victim was released from the hospital. Seven are now stable, and one is in critical but stable condition. Praying they all make a full recovery.

As someone who works at a different college in Providence, RI, my heart goes out to the students and families of Brown University tonight.
2 have already died + 9 are injured, but being treated at RI Hospital. If you are on the Brown campus/living in the neighborhood, stay locked down.
