People who refuse to believe there is still good music being made need to realize that they’re just mad that someone isn’t curating all the good music for them like back when corporate radio was better regulated & stations had distinct personalities & set playlists for their individual stations.

As someone who is technically Gen X, there is nothing I hate worse than the fact that Gen X are the new boomers who think that the way they were raised somehow made them better.

Most “one hit wonders” actually had multiple hits, they’re just now remembered more for just the one song. The metrics for what is a “one hit wonder” are so fuzzy and made up.

It’s weird when you finally hear a band that someone told you about a long time back and you want to message them to say “oh yeah. I totally get why you dig this.” But then you realize that that person was incredibly toxic influence in your life and that you’ve got them blocked on every platform.

I wish I had a local goth girlie friend who was like one size smaller than me, I could give her all the clothes I order online that are just a little too small and then she could give them back should I ever lose weight.
