You don’t have to draw backgrounds if you don’t want to. Learn things to improve, break out of your comfort zone, yes, but don’t feel like you have to draw things you hate in order to be a “real” artist or whatever that means. It’s ok to just wanna draw weird little guys.

It's better to have drawn the thing badly than to never draw it at all! The Kast Proverb
Learn things in a way that makes it fun! Bad figure drawings? Put googly eyes on them. Now they look silly and you won't feel as bad. Studying fruit? Give them personalities. Learning doesn't have to b boring!

REST. the most difficult thing about self employment for me is figuring out breaks. Ive essentially drawn every single day for the last 20ish years of my life and now, because at some point i didnt allow for a wrist injury to heal all the way, i need surgery.
