how insane was it to say “we tortured some folks” and then not only not do anything about it but keep everyone involved in polite society. what did we think was going to happen after that

One of my favorite things about Bluesky right now is that I’m not absolutely bombarded with promoted tweets about how Israel hasn’t actually killed anyone except for four thousand six year old Hamas fighters which is a fake number because Doctors Without Borders is secretly a Hamas organization.

To the young people out there, the aughts were so amazing, you could be really smug and pretend like only Republicans were warmongers.

Simpler times.

Look, I just think it’s really weird that I have to call my senators and my representative every day and ask them to oppose genocide.

Not a fan.

Nelson Mandela was the first president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.

The US government designated Mandela a terrorist until 2008.

Nobody loves an apartheid regime like the USA.

A man, explaining the things he can do with his phone to his car remotely.

Maybe if the stakes are so high the Democratic Party should run a popular candidate who still has their marbles? Idk just thinking out loud
Part of me things the media commitment to the "Biden is old" bit is to avoid acknowledging any responsibility if an openly authoritarian candidate is elected President

A multiracial election held under a universal franchise?

Oh, so you think Afrikaners don’t have the right to self-determination?

“Talk To Me” was really upsetting, less a horror film than a dark drama about loss and grief with supernatural elements. The filmmakers did a great job in that it was really awful to watch. Recommended sort of?

Some people attend board game nights as an excuse to sit down and gab with friends and make new ones.

Other people seek partners to learn and master systems.

I am of the ‘other people’.

Tell me about the cool thing you did last week AFTER your turn plz ty
