Very early footage of some redone dashing animations and the current state of the game!

The combat feels much faster despite the reliance on stamina, and the new animations are helping a lot! Not quite done with the visuals, but we're on the way!

Currently working on a stagger system for Punch Punch Punch! Strong and slow attacks will build up fatigue, and if it reaches 100, the boxer will become staggered. Using a strong punch then will force them to fall! #gamedev #2dfighter

Currently working on redoing more of the animations, and I added a cross punch to help the jab feel more varied when using it back to back. Now I just have...all...of the other animations...to redo... this is gonna take a bit #gamedev #animation #pixelart

Punch Punch PUNCH!!! is a 2D fighter focused on stamina management that I'm currently developing. I'm now focusing on expanding the scope, which is why you see characters going outside of the ring a lot: I literally expanded the ring, just not the art alongside it. #gamedev

Making BETTER Combat | Punch Punch PUNCH!!! Devlog 1
Punch Punch PUNCH!!! is a 2D fighter focused on stamina management that I'm currently developing. I've been working on it for a few months now, and while I did have a more complete beta build, I'm now focusing on expanding the scope, which is why you see characters going outside of the ring a lot: I literally expanded the ring, just not the art alongside it. There's more to the current build of the game than in the video, like a functional settings menu as well as a menu in general. I might make a video on it in the future, but I'm also redefining the visuals at the moment, so it might be a while. Working on some new particle effects, sweat comes off if you have stamina, but if you're out of stamina, there's blood instead!

What do you think of the effects? Too hard to notice right now? #gamedev
