Norfolk CC ignored warnings, wasted £56M of public funds, and failed to plan a viable Plan B for the Western Link.

Blaming bats & Natural England is deflection. We demand accountability & resignations. Norfolk deserves better—enough is enough.

Norfolk deserves better. With NWL planning withdrawn & likely binned, it’s time to move past outdated, costly road schemes. David Pett says, “Transport East's road focus is naive & dated. Norfolk needs sustainable, integrated transport for real growth. #StopWensumLink

We call for a Plan B to tackle congestion west of Norwich—one that prioritises economic sense & environmental care. Protecting the River Wensum SAC & species like barbastelle bats must be central. Let's rethink, reset, & find smarter, sustainable solutions.

The damage caused by this road construction is tragic, but it’s nothing compared to the destruction the Norwich Western Link would bring—devastating trees, countryside, River Wensum SAC and wildlife. Once lost, nature doesn’t come back. #StopNWLink #SaveOurEnvironment

Norfolk County Council blaming bats for the NWL fiasco is absurd. This project failed due to mismanagement, zero economic justification, and reckless environmental harm. Taxpayers deserve accountability, not excuses. Norfolk needs leadership that prioritizes people, sustainability, and transparency.

The Prime minister saying that newts and bats cannot be allowed to get in the way of providing the housing, roads and hospitals that this country needs shows a fundamental failure to understand the problems with the planning system and how they originate from austerity.

More planning nonsense from the government.

- people have a democratic right to a say about land use change
- this will lead to worse outcomes environmentally & ecologically
- endless economic growth is a dubious goal in a world where we are hitting limits
