Submission from the People's FAQ, debunking the university of Michigan's lies!
Thank you for the wonderful coverage of our uphill struggle! Of note is the exemption from municipal law that UM holds in the state constitution, making this data center extra tough to resist.

Come to our next gathering or reach out to learn more about plugging in so we can unplug this monster!!!
This town has officially decided to fight against the construction of an AI data center that would service a nuclear weapons laboratory 1,500 miles away.

Amber Fellows, a Ypsilanti Township councilmember, tells us why:

we spoke to @stopthedata.bsky.social’s amber fellows on why the town of ypsilanti is rallying against a proposed AI data center that will be used by nuclear weapons researchers and the personal trauma of fighting this as a Japanese-American person 80 years after from the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombings

Big AI data center and infrastructure investments continue to bring less money and more problems!!!!
Based on analysis of years of revenues, losses and funding, since 2023, OpenAI has taken in $28.6bn in cash and had $13.7bn in losses.

However, reports say OpenAI ended 1H 2025 with $9.6bn in cash - suggesting OpenAI's losses are billions higher than reported.

If you care about public health, you have to become a revolutionary. If you care about medical research, you have to become a revolutionary. If you care about climate change, labor conditions, the well-being of children in war zones—you have to become a revolutionary.

Excellent article just dropped by Nathan Kim at the MDaily!

"Judging from the lab’s activity as a whole,[...] there seems to be no reasonable possibility that the data center will be independent from LANL’s primary mission of nuclear weapons development."

University administration must make a choice: Will it side with the public and live up to its stated ideals of serving the public good and public interest? Or will it side with LANL and spend hundreds...
