Reading reports of people being detained by ICE at immigration hearings and of the concentration camp in the Florida everglades: We are in the middle of what will be called an ethnic cleansing of Latinos from the US.

Breaking news: Federal immigration officers may deport immigrants with as little as six hours’ notice to countries other than their own, even without assurances that the arrivals will be safe from persecution or torture, a top official said.
ICE memo outlines plan to deport migrants to countries where they are not citizens
The dramatic shift in policy could result in thousands of immigrants being deported to places where they lack family ties or even a common language.

The agencies that DOGE cut could have been just restarted and staffed again after 4 years by the next president. It would set us back but it could be done. The OBBB will take an act of congress to reverse. The left will need to take congress back and then pass a bill.

Just now realizing how much goodwill and trust had been developed between the #DemocraticParty and the #Muslim community which #Biden shattered by giving unconditional support to Israel. Now #Mamdani is right there and could help rebuild the lost trust but he's too leftist.

Only would a Muslim in the US get called anti-semitic even though he said he wants to increase funding to prevent hate crimes by like 800%.

Funny how Christian #Zionism gets a pass from general anti-semitism when it calls for using Israel to go to war with its neighbors as a way to bring the second coming of Christ who then:

Kills all the Jews for not believing in him.

It's remarkable how many people are just going along with the definition of a non-english word they have been told by corporate media. Infidada just means "uprising." The Tahrir Square occupation to take out Mubarak in Egypt was non-violent and sources like Al-Jazeera called it an "intifada."

Cuomo is going to run on an independent ticket to try and a have a do-over for NYC mayor. The ticket should be succinctly called "You should be rich, but aren't."
June 27, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Cuomo not dropping out is exhibiting of one thing: the rich always get a do-over in US democracy. The poor and working classes never do.
June 27, 2025 at 2:05 PM
They need to make a comic book character with that name. About a politician who fights for the poor and working classes. Kids could learn civics from reading it.
I'm not sure this nickname will have the impact they think it will

A question for every more moderate Dem living in #NYC come November:

Is it still #BlueNoMatterWho?

Does that only apply to progressives when the milquetoast candidate wins?
June 25, 2025 at 6:03 AM
Compare #Cuomo's response to the bombing of Iran and #Mamdani's. One sounds like the mayor of a city, the other sounds like a politician and a lawyer observing things casually. #NYCMayor

If #Mamdani ISN'T the Dem Nom and he doesn't run on the Workikg Families Party ticket in the general in Nov. The voter turnout will drop severely between the #primary and the general. #nycelection #nycmayor

It's unfortunate there won't be a #fightingoligarchy tour spot in NYC. That could swing the election away from Cuomo. @sanders.senate.gov @aoc.bsky.social

Just weeks ago, people on the left and the right were telling me there was a ‘rift’ between Trump and Netanyahu.

Turns out the rift was between Trump and parts of his own MAGA base including Tucker Carlson.

Raise your hand if you knew Trump would always pick Israel over MAGA?

The Slug is saying everyone should evacuate Tehran. I never thought I'd be in a position where I was hoping Rand Paul would coral a bunch of Republicans together. Here I am though, hoping he blocks an aide package to Israel.
