TotalEnergies last week issued bonds totalling $3.5 billion - money that it can use for fossil fuel expansion projects like the EACOP, Mozambique LNG, and Papua LNG.

It was supported by Bank of America, BPCE/Natixis, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, MUFG, SMBC and Standard Chartered.

We’ll keep confronting the drivers of environmental harm, strengthen relationships with frontline communities, & advocating for human rights.

AFCON, like most sports, unites people.

It's a shame #TotalEnergies, which is building destructive #fossilfuels like the controversial #EACOP across the continent, harming people & sowing disunity, is using this event to clean up its image.
