Ubisoft just postponed its earnings report and halted the trading of its shares. Unclear why at this point but could indicate a major announcement related to the company.

"conspiracies or harder topics" lmao. yeah sure, it's real difficult to imagine a boogeyman. can't even imagine moving on to harder topics eg. where the sun goes every night, how to go potty on your own
Acquaintance grabbed these screencaps. Idk if it's getting purged.

"Second stage is people rejecting conspiracy discourse" is genuinely hilarious, I gotta teach em a little about Yakub and maybe they'll change their tune

Guess who just rode a BRAND NEW KIND OF TRAIN and didn't notice at all! There were like a dozen Japanese passengers in reverent awe the whole train ride and I'm sitting there like "lovin' the same ol' train, same as always, yessirree". Sorry, Train Fans

You MUST be kidding. That's the guy from Double the Fist!! Who knew Oglaf had been extremely Fist this whole time
A rare interview with the creators of the always-funny, always-brilliant, and *usually*-sexy—or occasionally anti-sexy—OGLAF!

Cooper has kept a low profile over the years, but is legitimately one of the very best artists in comics today. Read OGLAF if you're old enough to drive!
Talking Oglaf with Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne: 'We'd stay up all night drawing stuff to make each other laugh' - The Comics Journal
Other than some time off every year for Christmas, Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne have delivered a new Oglaf comic, skewering fantasy tropes with absolutely not safe for work humor, every week since 2008...

tried to take out the garbage tonight but was surprised to turn the corner and find two aged Japanese retirees frenching passionately against the door of the garbage enclosure.

fun thing about enjoying hardcore and punk is when one of the true originals with the purposefully offensive names cleans up/finds god but needs money so they write a memoir titled some shit like 'Jackoff Jackson: A Wank In Progress'

The lucky country indeed! So much sun they're GIVING it away
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

People have been keen on 'impressions' for like 12 years now, despite that not actually meaning anybody engages with the post or even takes it in. 'Pivot to video'. 'Pivot to X'. Pivot to obscurity! Make meaningful connections or perish (IMO)

Dinner parties - don't quite get 'em. It's nice to be invited but I need to be tricked into coming because I never quite unlearned that shared dinners are a moment of stress and tension. The amount of pretense involved doesn't help.

"I'm Logging Off," says the guy with intensely esoteric interests. "I will surely be able to meet people IRL who share my enthusiasm for the failed project of cybernetics and the specter it casts over us even today, and all the cuisines people don't look cool for pretending to enjoy."

Unrelatedly: unfollowing people, channels, etc. is So Good yo. You unfollowed anybody recently? I'm not unfollowing anybody here, but winnowing down my YouTube subs, Steam wishlist, and slowly jettisoning X has really made clear how small the internet actually is now, and how little happens here.

Another fun Kyoto bit: guitar store I walk past often lists their closing time as '19:55'. "Neat," you might think, "stores often start packing up 5 before closing anyway, nice to make it official." Reader, they start packing up 5 before 5 before. Store is always closed at 19:50. That's efficiency.

Sad to hear of the passing of Dick Cheney. It's going to be such a fucking hassle to find the next incarnation of the Antichrist. 😞

Being a teetotaler while your drunk friends argue about nothing is so distancing. Sitting there thinking "I am tired of Earth. These people." Like you're Doctor Shirley Temple

3 Facts:
1. Our time, money and energy on this Earth is limited
2. The Spearhead game is actually quite fun
3. Instead of buying the Seraphon box and committing to something you might not follow through on, 100 yen stores sell 12-packs of tiny dinosaurs and a big one called 'F.Y. Dinosaur'

Gradually getting closer to unfollowing everyone on X. As of today, my engagement on BlueSky is officially higher than X, at least measured in terms of follow/fb connections.
