This week we got the very good news that we were awarded The Reading Schools Gold Award. We are so proud of all the hard work that has gone into achieving this award and that our pupils love reading! Well done everyone!

Our P2/3 statisticians were out in force today! We took our learning outside for a playground hunt to practice using tally marks. Watching them collect and then combine their data as a class was the best way to spend the morning. @mathsweek.scot #mathsweekscotland #outdoorlearning

80 children were excited to start school today at @stjamespsr.bsky.social

More than 1,800 started primary across Renfrewshire.

Education convener Cllr Emma Rodden said: “Starting school is an exciting milestone. I hope everyone had an amazing first day."
