Currently on the comeback trail after hip resurfacing surgery for hip osteoarthritis.
Second half was considerably more eventful than the first. One penalty (incorrectly awarded IMO), one penalty save, 4 goals of which NUFC got three.
Canny day oot.

At St James’ Pk with the Mrs & the bairns for the lasses derby. In the East Stand today, wouldn’t swap my normal seat in the Gallowgate to sit here regularly. Blinded by the sun for much for the first half, not that there was much to see. NUFC with most possession & chances, but not much clear cut.

Looking forward to playing City next, like 😬
Liverpool have now lost as many league games as we have. Funny old season so far.

I will be stewing on that defeat big time over the international break. I imagine Howe will as well.
Desperately hope that when we return Hall is ready to start, Wissa and Tino are ready to be involved to some degree. That could make such a massive difference to how we play. #NUFC

I’m sure a few ‘tough questions’ to Howe from local journalists will totally turn our season around. That’s absolutely the key to sorting out our away form. 🙄

Utterly disastrous second half. Errors from those on and off the pitch have cost us again. We can forget about doing anything in the league now. Would take a monumental correction in form to get us up the league. Raging, absolutely raging. #NUFC

Screaming for Hall, screaming for Elanga for Murphy. Too late now, game is gone.

Tough watch, like going back in time that half. Thankfully also going back to the days where #NUFC lead at HT away from home. Barnes goal aside, precious little quality on show. Matched Brentford’s physicality, but think we’ll need to score another to claim all three points come full time.
November 9, 2025 at 2:53 PM
Get in Barnesy!!!!! Thought the chance had gone, but he wriggled through. Lovely feet!
Low key from #NUFC up to that point, nothing else created. Scrappy game.

Right, onto the lads now.
Brentford have a good home record, we’ve been crap away from home, so need to step it up from midweek. If we play well, we are better than them and should win. But which #NUFC will turn up?
November 9, 2025 at 2:01 PM
Frustrating result for #NUFC women. Deserved more than a point. Let down at times by some of the decision making in wide areas, when in promising positions. A draw is not a bad result, but in the context of playing catch up on promotion a win was really needed.
November 9, 2025 at 1:58 PM
#NUFC women dominated proceedings this second half, but still not got the goal to get back in front. Not too long left, plus the nagging worry of conceding on the break.
November 9, 2025 at 1:45 PM
The #NUFC lasses have been largely the better team, but level it is at HT. But for an offside flag, they could be going into the break behind (would’ve been a travesty). Has a derby feel, Durham clearly fired up. Hopefully they’ll tire and our quality (plus maybe subs) will see us edge the win.

Keegan and Robson will always have a place in my heart, but Howe is the best #NUFC manager in my lifetime and, unless you are pushing retirement, most people’s too #inEddiewetrust
4 years since Eddie Howe became Newcastle United manager.

What a ride it’s been - the passion, the progress, the pride restored 🖤🤍

Far from perfect performance, but improved (from a very low bar) compared to Sunday. Athletic were a tidy team, if powder puff in attack.
9 pts, possibly only one win from getting through to the play offs. Can we just resurrect that European breakaway league and not bother with the PL? #NUFC
November 5, 2025 at 9:59 PM
After Sunday’s shambles, the #NUFC players owe a performance tonight. I think we’ll get one. 3-1 to the Toon is my prediction. #Howaythelads #ChampionsLeague
November 5, 2025 at 7:13 PM
The one advantage of playing every five minutes does give #NUFC a chance to quickly bounce back. Need to take two wins into the international break though. The players owe for today.
November 2, 2025 at 4:22 PM
The lasses put in quite a shift at least, hopefully the start of something. 4-1 win and narrowing the gap on the promotion places.
November 2, 2025 at 4:07 PM
Abject #NUFC performance, where the hell did that come from?
1st half was poor, but lack of reaction 2nd was shocking. Lethargic, lumbering. No creativity whatsoever.
Eddie got subs completely wrong - Woltemade off was a strange one, changing formation every five mins. Bad, bad day at the office
November 2, 2025 at 4:04 PM
Sutton complaining about West Ham sitting back, don’t know what he’s worried about - we don’t look like troubling their keeper at all.
November 2, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Really disappointed with that. #NUFC get their noses in front, but waste it with a sloppy display after that. Allowed them to grow in confidence. Looked like we could walk through their midfield and then flipped to them looking like they could walk through ours. Backsides need kicked at HT. #NUFC
November 2, 2025 at 2:54 PM
#NUFC line up largely as expected, apart from Krafth for an ill Trippier and playing two Nick Popes.
Today surely has to be the day we get our first away PL win of the season?
November 2, 2025 at 12:51 PM
Pretty straightforward win, rotated but found no loss in quality. In the quarter finals once again. #NUFC
